Your own copy of Google Workspace

Gmail, Drive and shared drives, copied 3 times a day.

Term
Month to month
Price, indicative
From $4 per user per month

Shared drives change all day, and one wrong click can remove a folder for everyone. Google Workspace Backup keeps your own copy, taken 3 times a day and kept for a year or longer.

From admin consent to restore

  1. Day 1

    Approve the connection

A Workspace super admin approves our access in the admin console. Nothing installs on any device.

  2. Days 2 to 5

    Copy everything once

Gmail, Drive, shared drives, Calendar and Contacts for every user go into an encrypted US store.

  3. Day 10

    Prove a restore

We restore one shared drive folder and one user’s Gmail label, and send you the timings.

  4. 3 times a day

    Copy the changes

New and changed items are copied 3 times a day. A person reads every failed job.

  5. On request

    Restore anywhere

Items go back to the same account, or to a different one such as a manager’s.

What you receive

Who it is for
Businesses of 5 to 200 on Google Workspace
Format
Remote, connected by admin consent
  • Gmail, Drive, shared drives, Calendar and Contacts copied 3 times a day
  • 1 year of retention, extendable to 7 years
  • Restores into the same account or a different one
  • Shared drive folders restored with their folder structure intact
  • Single items restored within 1 business hour of your email, as a target
  • A one-page monthly report of users, copies and failed jobs

Is this the right plan?

Right for you if

  • Your team works in shared drives that several people can change
  • Staff leave, and their mail and files must move to someone else
  • You may need a file as it was weeks or months ago
  • Your IT provider runs Google Workspace but nobody owns its backup

Look elsewhere if

  • You use free personal Gmail accounts; we back up Workspace accounts only
  • Most files sit on a server or laptops; start with Server or Workstation Backup

Example: a folder missed until April

A 15-person tour operator keeps each season’s supplier contracts in shared drives. In week 1 we map its 9 shared drives and agree on losing at most 8 hours of edits. On day 10 we prove a folder restore. In January, someone tidying last season’s files deletes next season’s lodge contracts. Nobody notices until April. We restore the folder, subfolders intact, into the same shared drive that morning.

Google Workspace Backup questions, answered

Does Google back up Google Workspace data?

Not as a separate copy you control. Google Workspace has a trash and admin restore tools, but they work for a limited time and inside the same system where the deletion happened. Google Workspace Backup keeps an independent copy in our encrypted US store, for 1 year by default.

What does Google Workspace Backup cover?

Gmail, Drive, shared drives, Calendar and Contacts for every user you choose. Each is copied 3 times a day into an encrypted store in a US region, with a locked copy in a second region at least 500 miles away. Files keep their folder paths, so a restore lands where people expect it.

Can we restore data into a different account?

Yes. Any item, folder or whole mailbox can go back into the original account or into a different one. That helps when someone leaves: their Gmail and Drive files can be restored into a manager’s account whenever they are needed, with the original folder structure kept.

How long are Google Workspace backups kept?

We keep 1 year of versions by default, extendable to 7 years. That covers a file deleted in January and missed until the autumn. Your compliance owner or counsel decides how long records must be kept; we set retention to match and show it on every monthly report.

Do you need our users’ passwords?

No. A Workspace super admin approves our connection once in the admin console, and the backup runs from there. No passwords change hands, and nothing installs on staff devices. You can revoke the access at any time, which stops the backup until it is approved again.
