The check is free and commits you to nothing. In 45 minutes we learn whether your backups would restore today, and we say so plainly, even if you do not need us.
What happens in 45 minutes
Remote, with whoever looks after your backups today.
- Minutes 0 to 10
What you run
We list your devices, servers, cloud apps and shared folders, and who looks after each today.
- Minutes 10 to 25
How it is copied
We look at your current backup: what it covers, how often it runs, and where the copies live.
- Minutes 25 to 40
One test restore
Together we restore one file you choose from your current backup and time how long it takes.
- Minutes 40 to 45
What comes next
We name the biggest gap we saw. A written page of findings follows within 2 business days.
What to have ready
Admin access
Someone who can open your backup console, your server and your Microsoft 365 or Google admin.
A rough inventory
How many laptops, servers and users you have. Rough counts are fine.
One file to restore
Pick a file that matters, one you would notice if it came back wrong.
What must not stop
The one system the business cannot work without, so we look there first.
Before you book
Is the backup check really free?
Yes. It costs nothing, and booking it commits you to nothing. We run it because a test restore is the fastest way to show how we work. If your current setup is sound, we say so in writing and suggest you keep it.
Who runs the check?
A recovery engineer, not a salesperson. The same engineers handle restores for our clients, so they know what a working backup looks like and where the usual gaps are. If you decide to go ahead, your onboarding lead reads the findings before day 1.
Do we have to install anything?
No. The check runs over a screen share with whoever manages your backups today. We look at what is there and restore one file using your current tools. Nothing is installed, and we keep no access after the session ends.
What is in the written page of findings?
One page, in plain language: what you back up today, what is missing, how long the test restore took, and the first three things we would change. It includes indicative prices for any plan we suggest, taken from our public pricing page. You can share it with your IT provider.
